How To Grow Your Geek: Parenting and More!

Last night we watched this really funny animated movie called, Wally and gromit in the wrong trousers. And it was really good. it was all made with clay figures, almost looked like play dough.

Wally is a human inventor, who loves cheese and comes up with really crazy inventions. he’s got them all over his house, and for everything you can imagine. even his bed in hooked up and when he wakes up he just presses a button and his dog cooks him breakfast. We will get to gromit in a minute, more on wally. he is always coming up with new inventions to make life easier for he and his dog and i think for anyone really. he tries hard but sometimes things don’t go the way he wanted. and he is what dad calls self absorbed, that means he loves his dog, but he doesn’t always pay attention to him. and he really should, because gromit is a VERY smart dog. hehe.

Gromit is a dog that acts human. in fact he is a lot smarter than most humans in these cartoons. every time that wally gets in trouble, it’s gromit that saves the day. and it’s always funny how he does it. it’s also funny how he rolls his eyes at the things wally does. like he can’t beleive he just did this or that. hehe.

so at the start of this movie, it’s gromit’s birthday. he is waiting at the kitchen table hoping for a big birthday party, but wally is still in bed and looks like he forgot all about it. when he finally does get up he gives gromit two gifts. one is a box with a collar and a lease, hehe ; which is NOT waht gromit has been looking forward too. the next one is the surprise, another one of wally’s inventions. a pair of mechanical pants, or trousers they call them. even has suspenders like grandpa wears. HEHE. he hooks up the collar and lease to the pants and then explains to gromit the pants he made to take gromit for a walk when he’s too busy. he presses a button and gromit is dragged out the door behind that pants. hehe.

now wally wanted to buy gromit something really nice, but he was short of money. so he decides to rent out their spare bedroom. this little penguin shows up with a suitcase and decides he doesn’t care for the room and makes himself at home. in GROMIT”S room. gromit is NOT at all happy about this, but he fixes up the other room and keeps a sharp eye on the penguin. good thing too, hes not a good guy at all.
he follows him to a museum where the penguin is planing to steal this big diamond, by using wally’s new invention. the rest of the movie is the penguin using the pants, with wally in them; to steal the diamond. and all the time wally is asleep, snoring.

can gromit save the day? will wally EVER wake up? will the penguin get away with it and wally and gromit get blamed?? well you’ll just have to rent it or buy it on amazon to see for yourself. i will say it’s got the funniest chase in it i ever seen on toy trains. TOO FUNNY.

this is a short movie, but it’s good and for everyone in the family. everyone will enjoy it. make sure when you go look to look for the rest of the wally and gromit movies. they are some of my favorites. i think you guys will like them a lot.
