I have been waiting on this ever since I heard about it on slice. i mean it’s stars wars, its anime and i LOOOOOOOOOOVE both. well, ok i really like the first star wars better than the new ones. i don’t like the actor that plays anikin, he’s too much like boys i know here. I still like the movies though. yoda rocks! hehe. there were things i liked and things i didnt about this movie, but let me tell you what it is about first. then maybe after my review you guys can explain what i didnt get.

Today, I am sending you a rather rambling but sincere monologue about education. This morning, I read a great commentary on CNN.com about involvement in education. I was actually planning to talk about this subject, and this propelled me to do a whole program about it. I discuss volunteering in the classroom, presenting your interests, learning about school policy, and my general ideas about what should be covered in schools, especially at the elementary ages. I also wanted to give you the links to the National PTA website, where they have tons of resources for parents and teachers.
Please let me know what ideas you have, and what your schools are doing. I know that some of you out there are teachers as well, and I would love to hear your opinions as well!
I also would like you to send in your comments and opinions on the topic I would like to cover soon - when do you expose kids to different levels of action in tv, movies and games, and how much do you let them watch or play such programs? Please tell me what you do in your home, and what works for you.
Please email me with your own comments at howtogrowyourgeek - at-gmail -dot-com, or call my voicemail number at 206-202-7309 and leave your thoughts. You can also visit our forum at the Farpoint Forums. You can also see our super cute t-shirts, mugs and bags at our Zazzle store link, if you are interested. I love the logo so much that I thought it would be great on shirts, etc.!
I would also love your comments, family stories and questions!

Hi again, everyone! We are hopefully back on schedule, with a show that was inspired by a great voicemail by Gary from Jacksonville about cooking with his kids. I enlist the aid of my daughter Amanda in reviewing 3 great shows from Food Network: Good Eats with Alton Brown, How’d That Get On My Plate, and Food Detectives.
We were pretty relaxed and more than a little goofy recording this one, so we hope you enjoy it!
Thanks so much for listening!

hi guys,
we just got done watching this way cool movie I just had to write you about. It’s called Nim’s Island and it is taken from a children’s book. I have not read it yet, but after seeing this I think ill look for it and pick it up. the movie is really good, and i think everyone would like it no matter what age you are.
The whole movie is about this girl named Nim. She lives on this island out in the middle of the ocean with her father and animals that live on the island. her father is a marine type scientist who is looking for different organisms that live in the ocean. he also does work for national geographic and stuff.
I posted on my journal about working up at the hobby shop. so dad said go a head and send it to you too. because maybe some people that listen might have kids old enough to work summer jobs and stuff. so here you go:
hi hi,
yeps. i am working, well kinda sorta. my uncle dave has a bunch of hobby shops here in st louis. the one here is right down our street, i can ride my bike to it. i been helping there clean the store and waiting on people that come in and helping with setting up tables for games and stuff. so uncle dave said, hey you want to learn what we do here? and i was like SURE!!! so dad said maybe this would be a cool thing to post about.
Well first thing to talk about is the first day of work, everyone has to go though this so i had some good advice for you guys. because sooner or later you will get a summer job somewhere.
