hi guys,
well its over. finally! okay i normally dont talk this stuff, but wow its so important what happened. now i dont know alot about this stuff, but ill tell you what i got out of all of it okay? there’s people grandpa’s age who dont understand how we elect our presidents, so i dont feel so bad.
okay first off. it went on waaaaaaaay too long. i mean i was 11 when it started. it takes that long to get a president? seriously? wow, maybe we are doing it wrong then. i mean i know not a lot of people like president bush. i don’t, but think about it. he has two years to sit up there while we go about picking the next person, that’s got to suck. it would be like the last kid being picked for dodge ball, knowing at the end no one wants him on their team.
when it started i didnt pay attention to it. didnt like hillary, she seems bossy to me. still does. mcain was like president bush a lot. and he changed his mind a lot. and we dont need that. i liked obama a lot, but didnt know enough about him.
okay then later on hillary has to drop out, and its down to just obama and mcain right? so then i start to get interested. and i did like dad and jenny said, look at what these guys wanted to do for the country. that’s whats is important. and just got to remember these guys got just four years, and some people they have to work with won’t work with them. cause they want to do their own thing, or they want to be buttheads.
so then they both pick their vice presidents. they take over for them if something should happen, and they do other things too. all of it important. so obama picks his guy, and hes okay i guess. then what happens? mcain picks that palin lady. and wow, is she weird or what? and you just know they did that because of hilary. but know what? i wonder about that. you guys think maybe that wasn’t really his decision? like maybe they chose her for him? to get all the women vote that would have gone to hilary? thats what i think anyways.
so i started listening more, and took notes for school. but then it just got stupid. seriously stupid. they stopped talking about the issues and stuff and it got into this: he said this….oh yeah, well he did this…did not, you did this…no way, well your momma is this…., etc, etc. and this from grown ups! people we are going to elect to run the country. wow, just….wow.
four grown ups, acting like little kids. (wags her finger)
then something happened that made me say, okay obama is the dude. is got up and he said enough already, let’s get back to how we are going to fix this mess. and let’s face it, this country is in a BIG mess. people out of work forever, every day some loses a job or thier home. people should never ever lose their homes, not if they worked so hard for it. thats just not right,
now we got president obama, and you know i think we did pretty good. already hes doing stuff, and picking people to help him. i sure hope he can fix things, but if he dont at least can’t say he isnt trying.
oh! on the race thing. im sorry but that’s the dumbest thing ever! seriously. if you are hurt, laying in some ditch somewhere, you dont tell the person that comes up to offer to help you, sorry, but ill just wait for a white dude to show up. I mean HEEEELLO, get a life people!
only thing that matters is this:
for the first time ever we got a black president, and that rocks! look at all they had to go though just to vote, just to be treated as human beings. it’s so sad. now anyone, anywhere can say to themselves. “hey know what? i can be anything i want if i try hard. obama did it, betcha i can too.” at least thats how i feel these days.
so here is hoping mr obama can do half the things he wants to. its going be tough and take a long time. but all things do. so ill support him.
well that’s it for my thoughts. you might not agree, and thats cool. dont gots too. this is just me talking my thoughts.
