Hi Guys,
Getting back to my reviews. This time around I got a great book that tells a old story, (or one that has been told before.) But in a very different way. I think you are going to like it. Many thanks to Summer for pointing my towards this series and the writer. :)

Worldweavers- Gift of the Unmage.

From the back of the book.
“As the seventh child of two powerful seventh children, Galathea Winthrop was expected to grow into magical abilities beyond anything previously imagined. Instead, she has spent the last 17 years trying desperately to achieve something, anything, in her Ars Magica class at school. Thea has learned to live with her older brothers’ jokes about her lack of abilities, but what she cannot face is the look in her father’s eyes each time she tries to do magic and fails.

Hey guys,
Got something different for you this time around, not a normal book by any means. And not one I would usually pick up either, but I saw this at my uncle’s Hobby shop and comic book store and had to get it. Just for the title alone. :)

It ate Billy on Christmas – A book review by Darcy Low

“It would have been a Christmas like any other for little Lumi and her horrible, terrible, obnoxious, awful bully of a brother Billy. But then a funny little monster appears and ate Billy right up! Lumi knows it’s not really a good thing to let a monster eat your brother, but she can’t help but notice that things are, in fact; much nice now that he is gone. Now that things are looking up a little in her world. Lumi has to decide what to do with her new little monster friend, and……most importantly; what’s she going to feed him? ”

From the back of the book. -
” I’ll be famous one day, but for now I’m stuck in middle school with a bunch of morons. ” Being a kid can really stink. And no one knows this better than Gregg Heffley, who finds himself thrust into middle school , where undersized weaklings share the hallways with kids who are taller, meaner, and already shaving. In Diary of a wimpy kid, author and illustrator Jeff Kinney introduces us to an unlikely hero. As Gregg says in his dairy, ” Just don’t expect me to be all dear diary this and dear diary that.”  Luckily for us, what Gregg Heffley says he won’t do and what he actually does are two very different things.”

Valentine Princess – A book review by Darcy Low

It’s close to Valentine’s day in Mia’s world. You would think a princess with everything would have that day all figured out, and a lot of boyfriends. But even Mia goes though what we girls all do. Let’s take a look.

From the inside cover: ” Valentine’s Day means flowers, chocolates, and all out romance. That is it usually means those things. But When you’re Princess Mia, nothing happens the way it’s supposed too. For one thing,, Grandmere seems determined to prove “that boy”, (or Micheal as he is most commonly known) isn’t teh right one for the crown princess of Genovia. And Mia isn’t having much luck proving otherwise, since Micheal has a history of being decidedly against any kind of exploitative commercialization. (Valentine’s day, as it is commonly known.) This week, I am delighted to present my interview with Tracy Hickman, accomplished author and a true gentleman. We talk about his body of work, including the Dragonlance books, as well as his new book Xtreme Dungeon Mastery, which can help us make our pen-and-paper games much more fun and exciting. We had so much great material that I am saving some of his writing and parenting advice for another show soon! He is pictured below with his wife and writing partner Laura Hickman.

I found these posts on Twitter today, thought I would pass them on to you. Jerah, a 10 year old girl, picked 2 lists of favorite books, and included the summaries from Amazon.com in her lists.

Take a look and see if any are interesting to you! I mean, really, can you have too many good books to read? I didn’t think so!

Jerah’s first list - Includes classics like Heidi, Where the Red Fern Grows,  and Peter Pan

Jerah’s second list – Includes Misty of Chincoteague and several biographies of outstanding women

Hi guys!
I have been wanting to do a comic book review for such a long time now, it has just been tough thinking of which ones to do. I read a lot here, my Uncle Dave runs four hobby shops; both in st Louis and here. But also across the river in Illinois too! He has a ton of comics there, with new ones coming in every Tuesdays. I mostly like the funny ones, the ones like xmen and superman are so hard to keep up with. They change every new issue it seems like. I get into something and boom, they either kill someone off, or reboot the whole thing. like hollywood does with movies. So i been sticking with funny ones, manga, and some graphic novels.

So I thought I would start with one of my all time favorites, Nodwick. Nodwick is a hireling who works for three adventures, Atrax the wizard, Piffany the cleric, and Yeager the fighter. Now normally when you take on a hireling, they carry all of the stuff, hold the torches, make camp, ect. And the hireling levels up as well if you keep them, or you let them go after the questing is over. That is if the party is made up of normal characters……..ummmmm, theses guys are anything but normal. hehe. Let me introduce you to the cast.
